Tudor Submariner*** 7928 Military IDF*** 1963
TUDOR Submariner Israel Military (IDF), Ref. 7928, PCG, Circa 1963
Serial: 409964
Circa: 1963
Reference: 7928

DIAL: Black dial with chapter ring and silver gilt printing, Rose logo, luminous hour markers.

CASE: 40mm, strainless steel case (bezel missing). Glass in acrylic.
Case back engraved with military marking 'M172' as well as the caseback drilled with openings to unscrew the back typical of these military watches.

MOVEMENT: Fleurier FEF Cal. T 390, Self-winding mechanical, 17 jewels

BRACELET: Leather strap

CONDITION REPORT: The bezel was missing when we acquired the watch. The case is crisp and unpolished. The dial has been damaged over time and shows spotting all over but matches the condition of the hands and wear of the overall watch. The dial appears to be from 1964, which likely means that although the case is from 1963 it was likely assembled and subsequently issued a year later. It is also a later issue number than the previous 1963 example we had. The crystal was cracked and damaged when we received the watch so we replaced it with a TrueDome D19 and kept the original one on the side.
The movement was fully overhauled and winding system fixed (inverter replaced) by our watchmaker in November 2023.
