DIAL: Black glossy dial with white gold applied tritium luminous hour markers, beveled date aperture at 3 o’clock. Mercedes hour and pencil minutes hand, lollipop seconds and red color GMT hand indicating the second time zone.

CASE: 40mm, stainless steel with red/blue rotating 24h bezel and sapphire crystal with loupe for date at 3 o’clock.

MOVEMENT: Caliber 3175, Self-winding mechanical movement with 31 jewels

BRACELET: Rolex stainless steel Oyster fliplock 93150/501B, date code W8

CONDITION REPORT: Worn. Excellent condition overall condition with perfect dial, unpolished case and a beautifully faded bezel.

NOTES: This example of the 16700 includes original box, outer box (with reference sticker) and stamped warranty booklet.

In 1988 the reference 16700 replaced the 16750 with a different case, sapphire crystal and 3175 caliber instead of 3075. The reference 16700 was priced lower compared to the GMT Master II Ref. 16710 introduced around the same time (The 16710 replaced the 16760 in 1989). The 16700 is the last GMT Master. Sometimes this 16700 reference is called "The Last Master".
It came with a tritium dial until 1997 (U serial) and Luminova starting in 1998. The model was then entirely discontinued in 1999.
