CONDITION REPORT: The dial and hands are in mint condition. The case is
The special medallion box has peeled over the black surface and is missing the metallic insert, which is common of these types of synthetic boxes from this period. The original special edition certificate with the limited number indicated accompanies this set very nicely. There are two warranties included with the watch, there was apparently too much information to fit on one.
The papers are dated December 24, 1981.
The watch also comes with photos and a special letter as part of this complete limited edition set.

NOTES: According to the Omega Museum archives this watch was manufactured on November 6, 1980 and delivered to Germany.

Released in 1980, following the 10 year anniversary of the Apollo XI mission in 1979, the BA 345.0802 (yellow gold, 300pcs) & BC 345.0802 (white gold, 20pcs) the first Omega reference to be fitted with a see-through sapphire display caseback. The movement was specially decorated and rhodium plated with the reference 861L and 19 jewels instead of 17. According to the Omega Museum, they were intended to be delivered to the German market.

This makes the present example complete with its original box and certificate an ultra rare and collectible example.
