CONDITION REPORT: New Old Stock condition. The watch retains its unbroken red factory seal (Never been opened) and blue factory seal as well on the caseback. There are light storage marks, but shows no signs of ever being worn. The dial and hands are immaculate.
NOTES: Watch comes with its original box, caliber 866 booklet and warranty paper (back only) stamped and dated September 1, 1987.
In 1985, Omega released the first Speedmaster with a Moonphase and a date, reference 345.0809, often called the SpeedyMoon. The Calibre 866 fitted in this watch was developed by Lemania. This was displayed with addition of a fourth register at 12 o'clock with the moonphase indicator as well as the date. Both funtions are individually set using two correctors on the left case side with the help of a pin tool. This reference was produced for a very short period from late 1985 until 1988 and only an estimated 1300 pieces were made. It remains one of the most elusive Speedmasters ever produced.
