NOTES:
The Jaeger LeCoultre Futurematic was launched in the early 1950's and the featured a power reserve indicator and an unusually placed seconds at 3 o'clock. The Futurematic E501 (cal 497) & E502 (cal 817) was well ahead of its time as power reserve indication was not something we had seen on wristwatches at that time and the placement of the seconds also made this configuration unusual. On this first E501 both are indicated by hands and on the subsequent E502, they were displayed through windows called 'porthole' and with an updated caliber.
