CONDITION REPORT: Overall excellent condition. The dial has changed color over time from its original Yves Klein blue to a stunning aubergine purple color.
NOTES: According to Audemars Piguet, the Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar reference 25686 with sapphire open caseback was launched in 1987 and it was produced through 1993 with a total of 223 examples. There were 85 in stainless steel, 70 in yellow gold, 26 in platinum, 33 in two-tone and 9 in pink gold. The reference was then replaced with the 25820 with leap year indication.
This particular example, one of the 85 produced in steel, dates back to 1992 by movement production date, but the final watch was assembled in 1995 probably by special request as the model was discontinued by then.
