Serial: 7500797
Circa: 1968
Reference No.: 7536-1

CASE: 38mm, stainless steel, black tachymeter bezel, acrylic crystal, screw back

MOVEMENT: Valjoux 72, finely decorated hand-wound column wheel chronograph, 17 jewels

BRACELET: Leather strap with Ulysse Nardin steel buckle

CONDITION REPORT: Dial is in excellent condition with some tiny marks in the registers. The case is overall very nice and slightly polished. The bezel is intact without major damage, slightly worn.

NOTES: The Ulysse Nardin 7536 is an extremely rare chronograph from the late 1960's (Circa 1968-1969). Known to resemble a Daytona but 1mm bigger and have the similar bezel to a Speedmaster but 1mm smaller, it is the perfect marriage between the two from a lesser known brand and much rarer as well.
It exists in two executions with 7536-1 being the first and rarer than the second. The difference with the first execution -1 versus -2 are the following:
1) No lume plots at 3-6-9 on the dial
2) Movement is decorated differently with a stunning 'perlage' finish versus regular 'Côtes de Genève', although both are considered luxury finishings
3) Crown is not signed on -1
4) 7536-1 reference is between the lugs versus caseback
5) Serial on the movement is slightly earlier on -1 versus -2 examples we have observed
