Omega Speedmaster*** CK 2915-2 F.A.P.*** 1958
OMEGA Speedmaster CK2915-2 Broad Arrow, F.A.P., Circa 1958
Serial: 166XXXXX
Circa: 1958
Reference No.: CK2915-2

CASE: 39mm, stainless steel, steel bezel tachymeter base 1000
Case back with seahorse logo and FAP engraving at the bottom

DIAL: Black flat matte dial with applied logo, radium hour markers, swiss made
Broad arrow h/m hands, straight seconds chrono hand and dagger counter hands

MOVEMENT: Calibre 321, hand-wound column wheel chronograph, 17 jewels

BRACELET: Not specified

CONDITION REPORT: All original dial, bezel, crown and case. Missing its original braclet. The hands may have been relumed, but still react under UV light.
There is a slight dent above the 70 on the tachymeter bezel, but the numerals are not impacted. The movement needs an overhaul and presents a slight issue with the rest function for the 12 hour counter hand.

Notes:
This reference CK2915-2 is a first Speedmaster (MKII) with the Broad Arrow hands and the steel tachymeter bezel. In addition to this reference being very rare, this particular piece is a military issue for the Fuerza Aerea del Peru (Peruvian Air Force) delivered in January of 1959 (so, logically, it was manufactured in 1958). This is consistent with the Archives Extract from the Omega Museum with confirmation of the military issue.
This is probably among one of the rarest Omega Speedmaster watches and is highly collectible.
