DESCRIPTION:
Omega vintage Seamaster ‘Chronostop’, fairly used and in good working condition, 1960s
MOVEMENT:
Caliber 865, hand-wound mechanical stop seconds movement, 17 jewels
DIAL:
Unrestored vintage in perfect condition. Dial in black matte color with a graduated inner bezel in white precise to 1/5 of a second. Silver hour markers applied with tritium points. Omega logo is painted in orange, with OMEGA and CHRONOSTOP written underneath. The "Seamaster" collection name is written in white at bottom of the central dial and mention of T SWISS MADE T is printed at the bottom. Turning bezel with 0-60 or 0-24 scale, countdown and pilot scales.
CASE:
41 x 48 mm, Stainless Steel cushion case, fair condition and has been refinished, original Omega plexiglass
BRACELET:
Original Omega bracelet with full links, reference 1117 with ‘549’ end links.

NOTES:
These are watches rare and unique with their single push stopwatch function. The mechanism is designed so that the user presses the pusher once to start the orange stopwatch hand. Then, presses it again and holds it down to stop the stopwatch and read the time elapsed and, finally, release the pusher to reset the hand to zero. This is a particularity of the 865 Caliber introduced in 1966 and only 124,000 were ever made. This Seamaster Chronostop model was released shortly before the Olympic Games in Mexico City 1968.
