Omega Chronometer*** CK 2410-1 Military*** 1946
OMEGA Military Chronometer Ref. 2410-1, 1946
Serial: 10403472
Circa: 1946
Reference No.: 2410-1

CASE: 36mm, stainless steel, water resistant screw-in caseback, hesalite crystal

DIAL: Silver two tone dial with radium luminous Arabic numeral indexes, CHRONOMETRE OMEGA printed on the dial

MOVEMENT: Calibre 30 T2 SC RG, hand-wound, 16 jewels

BRACELET: Leather strap with vintage Omega buckle

CONDITION REPORT: 100% original and untouched condition. The dial indexes and hands both have a nice patina and remain intact. The dial has ‘shadows’ from the radium hands sitting for prolonged periods in the same position. This is a clue to the careful preservation of this pristine example. The crown has a slight dent, but the case is otherwise in excellent condition and intact.

NOTES:
This is a very rare water resistant Omega chronometer with radium numerals and hands. The design is particular to a military watch and since it was released in 1946 (according to the Omega Museum), it is probable that this watch was intended for military use. The water resistant screw back as well as the radium Arabic numerals and hands are some of the specifications of the military watches from WW II.
