MOVEMENT: Valjoux 7733, hand wound mechanical chronograph movement, 17 jewels
DIAL: Brown Dial in mint condition with white and red hour markers, 45 minutes chronograph counter at 3 o’clock and subsidiary seconds counter at 9 o’clock, BREITLING GENEVE, SPRINT, SWISS MADE T printed on the dial, untouched. Original white and red hands with luminous center.
CASE: 40mm x 42.2mm x 13.4mm, New Old Stock, Cushion shape ultra-light fiberglass resin case with brown aluminum pulsometer & tachymeter bezel, original sales sticker with Swiss Franc price from 70’s, snap back, untouched

NOTES:
- The Breitling SPRINT 2016 was a special project developed by Brietling to fit runners and athletes who needed an ultra lightweight watch that was water resistant and had good shock absorption.
- The case was developed out of a single block fiberglass plastic resin for its light weight and fully waterproof construction that is snap back style clasp fit to the aluminum bezel. - These were available in several colors such as blue, brown and orange for the sporty consumers it targeted. Very few of these actually survived as they were intended for extreme conditions and were often used by professional athletes.
- This particular piece is in new old stock condition with the original factory sales sticker on the back and is a great collector or daily wear watch. It is believed these watches remained in the factory during its repurchase in the 80s and were left untouched in the archives for almost 40 years.
- The Valjoux 7730 is the rebranded Venus 188 that came after Venus was absorbed by Valjoux. Venus made chronographs for scores of now forgotten brands, but its biggest customer was Breitling. By the sixties, the chronograph boom had definitely had its day, and Venus closed its doors in 1966. Its assets were absorbed by Valjoux, which discontinued column-wheel production and concentrated on the Venus cam movement instead. A few years later, Valjoux improved on this movement and came out with its 7733 as its own caliber.
